We are a people of hope, even in times of great uncertainty. The last week has given us as Christians great hesitancy regarding the near future. As a church we wanted to update both members and visitors of certain precautions and realities related to current coronavirus mandates and warnings:
*Because of the current recommendations of the CDC and other government entities, we are suspending all in-person church services on both Wednesdays and Sundays, along with dinners, Bible Study and Sunday School associated with those gatherings. We will be streaming our 10:45am service at its normal time on Sundays on our Facebook page as well as on YouTube. You can stream our services on Facebook this Sunday at 10:45am at facebook.com/wolnaperville, or on YouTube by going to tiny.cc/wolchurch.
*In lieu of our Wednesday night worship service, we are offering a dial-in conference call devotional/abbreviated worship time. You are welcome to dial-in on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm as Pastor Schoon has a worship time with Scripture, prayers, and a devotional based on one of the readings. The phone number to dial-in is 267.930.4000. When prompted, please enter the participant ID #, which is: 504-292-049.
*We have extended our cleaning protocols beyond normal procedures, including the extra cleaning of surfaces with multiple contact points, the extra-sanitizing of pens that are on each bulletin, and offering hand sanitizer in multiple locations throughout the church.
*We are switching our Bible Study program to small group Bible Studies in the homes of our members, in groups of 8-10. This is to help people stay connected while adhering to the guidelines of our governmental leaders. If you would like to be a part of one of our small groups, please contact Pastor Schoon directly at 630.355.9670.
*The AARP Driver Safety Class that was scheduled for March 31st and April 1st, has been postponed. We will keep you updated as to when AARP will resume offering these classes.
*Word of Life Preschool is closed, following Indian Prairie School District 204's closure and the mandate from the governor of Illinois. While we do not have any confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our district, this decision was made in an abundance of caution to limit the spread of the COVID-19 illness in our community. We plan to reopen April 6th, if District 204 reopens as planned. Please contact our Preschool Director by email if you have any questions or need more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Pastor Schoon directly by call or text at 630.355.9670. We are trying to stay up to date on current mandates and best practices during the foreseeable future. We will pass along any further updates as they become available.
